Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a wealth advisor is an important decision, and we believe you should have clear answers before taking the next step. Below are some of the questions we hear most often from our prospective clients.

Are you Fiduciaries?

Yes. We place our clients first at all times, and provide individually-tailored recommendations that are in their best interest.

What is the cost to receive your services?

Our firm primarily operates on a fee-based model that typically includes an assets-under-management (AUM) fee for investment management and a financial planning fee for ongoing advice and planning. Talk to one of our advisors today to get a better understanding of what it would cost to work with our team of dedicated professionals.

What characteristics do your clients share?

We have the privilege of serving successful, high-impact individuals and families who view wealth as a tool for something greater. They are long-term investors who seek to steward their resources wisely, care for others, and leave a legacy that extends far beyond money. See what they're saying about us.

Do you have investment minimums to become a client?

While we do not have a minimum for investable assets, our services tend to provide the most value for individuals and families seeking comprehensive financial planning alongside wealth management.

Where are my assets custodied?

Client investment accounts are custodied with LPL Financial, the #1 independent broker-dealer, (as reported by Financial Planning magazine, 1996-2025, based on total revenue) providing an additional layer of oversight and security. Learn more about  LPL here.

How will my assets be invested?

We tailor investment strategies to each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon, guided by our disciplined, time-tested investment philosophy. We also specialize in Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) strategies that seek to align investment portfolios with Christian values.

What kinds of security are in place to protect my assets?

Our 100% cyber fraud guarantee, via our strategic partnership with LPL Financial, ensures that clients will be reimbursed for 100% of realized losses in their impacted LPL accounts as a direct result of unauthorized access to an LPL system.

Am I able to access my accounts online?

Yes. Clients have 24/7 access to their accounts through secure online portals where they can view balances, statements, tax documents, and other important information in real time.

How often do you meet with clients?

We meet with most of our clients once or twice per year for review meetings. We take the initiative to schedule these meetings with you so that we can update you on your progress. Throughout the year, we also have several other touchpoints to remain in close contact as markets change, life happens, and the unexpected occurs.

How long have your clients been with you and what has their experience been?

We are humbled and grateful that most of our client relationships span 15+ years—and often over multiple generations—because we focus on building long-term partnerships rooted in trust, communication, and thoughtful guidance.

Where do your clients reside? Do you meet virtually with clients?

We work with individuals and families all across the country and can meet with you in-person, over the phone, or via Zoom.

Do you prepare tax returns or estate planning documents?

No, but we regularly collaborate with tax professionals and estate planning attorneys to help ensure your financial plan, tax strategy, and estate plan remain coordinated and aligned.

Who will my advisor be?

You will work directly with one of our experienced financial advisors, supported by a collaborative team that seeks to ensure you receive holistic guidance, outstanding hospitality, and white-glove customer service.

When was Harvest Point® founded?

Our firm traces its roots back to 1937 by way of our time at Waddell & Reed. Following LPL Financial's acquisition of Waddell & Reed in 2021, Harvest Point® Wealth Management was founded to help individuals and families wisely steward the wealth that has been entrusted to them through comprehensive financial planning and investment management. Our advisors have over 95+ years of experience in the finance industry.

What are the values of your firm?

Our firm is guided by five core values: Servant Leadership, Excellence, Transparency, Empathy, and Faith-filled Generosity. These values shape how we serve our clients, care for one another, and make decisions every day.

Does Your Firm Prioritize Generosity?

Absolutely. In addition to helping clients think intentionally about charitable giving as part of their financial plan, our team actively serves and supports nonprofit organizations throughout the communities of our clients. When you work with us, you know that a portion of the dollars that you pay for our services go back into the community to support those in need.

When I Call Your Office, Will a Robot Pick Up?

We know how difficult it is in today's day and age to get a real human to help with your question or request. As long as our office is open, a real human will answer your call, not a robot. If they can't answer your question, they will get you to someone who can.
